Game Viewing – Walking Safaris
|
1. RHINO TRACKING: Walking gives guests a different perspective. We are fortunate in that our professional guides undergo an extremely arduous examination procedure in Zimbabwe. Their understanding of animal behavior allows you to get up close on foot to both White & Black Rhino.
At Amalinda, our resident guide, Paul Hubbard is a Professional Archaeologist who’s further knowledge in this area ensures we maintain our standard of excellence. 2. Rhodes Grave & View of the World – a drive through the park and a short walk to the top of the “dwala” where Rhodes chose his place of rest. National Monuments & Museums charge an additional $10 pp to visit his tomb.
3. San Bushmen Paintings - we visit several charted and uncharted sites in the Matobo region. These can include Bambata, Inswatugi, Silozwani and many others – all depending on your fitness. These Caves range from distances of 2km walks to 7km hikes. Speak to Paul or Edwin and they will advise which is best according to your fitness level.
4. Cultural Visits - we take to you to the “real” African homesteads of the Matabele tribe, an orphange, primary school and rural clinic. |
